Derrick Rose is a sight to see inside the court rather than outside, this is for the Chicago Bulls fans. News of Rose getting injured once more loomed the team and many were happily surprised to see him back playing.
The Bulls defeated the Bucks in their home court, Milwaukee 95-86 with the help of the not so injured Rose.
He said "I was trying to play. Of course I wasn't 100 percent tonight. But I felt like we needed this win, and just tried to come out here and do anything it takes to get this win with my teammates."
From their end, Taj Gibson scored 23 points; Pau Gasol added 22 and Rose had 13 points and seven assists in 32 minutes for the Bulls.
Rose was out of the game for two seasons because of his knee injury. He then sat out the Bulls' previous two games with sprains in both ankles.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said "I just wanted to make sure he was comfortable out there. He got through it, which is a good sign. Hopefully, we can go from there."
While on the other side of the bench, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks.
Bucks coach Jason Kidd said "We're a young team. Guys are getting better. A lot of this is going to be watching tape, understanding the mistakes that we make. They're very simple ones that we can clean up."
Rose had a slow start with the Bulls during the game but he fell right on his rhythm later in the first half and ending with a couple of lay-ups in the last three minutes of the second quarter.
Butler commented "It makes a lot of things easier. He is passing the ball great, he is guarding and he is scoring the ball just like he has always done. It is great to have our leader back."
While Gibson felt surreal playing with Rose. He said "'It was great. He told us, 'Just keep fighting,' he said, 'I will give it my all in the fourth.' That is what he did. He turned it on in the fourth, he set up good plays."
