Cleveland Cavaliers star player LeBron James said that he played a passive game during the two team losses unlike how he played when they had won in the game.
But James defends that if he carries his team all by himself in to victory, it will not be beneficial to them in the long run.
He said "It's a fine line. I've had two games where I've played a little passive and been more of a set-up guy and it's resulted in two losses. And I've had a game where I've been very aggressive and we won. Is winning the ultimate thing? Or us being the best (team) we can be (as a whole) or winning one game? It's something that's going on in my mind right now, I'm trying to figure out. I definitely can't go into a game having 12 shot attempts. That's me personally."
Based on the latest statistics, James averaged 14.0 points on 13.5 shots per game during their games against New York and Portland where his team loss. It was very different to his scored during the sole win against Chicago where he had scored 36 on 30 shot attempts.
During their game against the Trail Blazers where the Cavs lost 101-82, James looked not like himself in which many wondered if he was feeling well. But James denied that his health is not the reason for the Cavs losing.
He said "I'm in the lineup. I'm good."
James had vented out his frustration after their loss to Portland saying it was the "bad habits" by his teammates that needed to be worked on.
He lamented "I don't know if the guys saw (my quotes) but I continue to preach it and they will get it. No need (to address them). Coach had enough and said enough and everyone gave their two cents. It's not the time for it."
The Team's coach, David Blatt said that he didn't see the comments to the press but is awrae of what James is trying to say. He said "I think what he's referring to is just having a winning tradition to hang your hat on and to be able to get through things because of that. I really think that's what he's referring to more than anything else."
