The speculation about Harry Styles' sexuality began when One Direction has been interviewed by "On Demand Entertainment" or ODE. Each member has been asked to answer some personal questions.

On exclusive One Direction interview of ODE, the TV host Lucy Jones introduced first the show's segment called "Four Play" to Liam Payne and Harry Styles. The two boys was asked about what they look for in a girl. Payne answered: "Female, it’s a good trait."

Then Styles replied: "Not that important."

After a few seconds of silence, Taylor Swift ex-boyfriend answered, "personality" and "sense of humour".

After this show aired, Independent UK said that 1D member has become a subject of most tabloids.

The topic about his sexuality spread also on social media including Twitter. There are some people who confirmed that Styles and his fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson are secretly dating.

Despite of the waving rumors, avid fans are still supporting him and the rest of the band.

IB Times UK said that this is not the first time that 20-year-old 1D member has been intrigued for being a gay or bisexual. He was also linked to BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw last year.

In 2013, One Direction interview with with GQ Magazine, the alleged gay band member confirmed to his female fans that he's "pretty sure" he was not bisexual.

He told GQ Magazine "We're not dating, no. We're just friends. Bisexual? Me? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'm not."
