In the SBS drama 'To the Beautiful You,' f(x) Sulli is playing the role of a girl named Goo Jae Hee who disguises herself has a boy in order to attend an all boys' school.

On the 13th of August, a press conference was held for 'To the Beautiful You' at the Imperial Palace Hotel where she revealed, "It was hard cutting my long hair."

Sulli's character Goo Jae Hee is a bright and brave girl who is also has a caring and considerate heart. After watching a high jump athlete named Kang Tae Joon (played by Choi Min Ho), she was left with such a big impression that she disguises herself as a boy in order to attend the all-boys' school that he goes to.

For this role, Sulli had to cut of all of her long hair. She revealed, "Making the decision to cut my hair was the hardest thing. Actually while I was cutting my hair I cried without me even knowing. Many people around me told me that short hair actually looks better on me so I was happy. It's easier to wash and dry too."

She continued, "To be able to act as a boy, I had to studied their actions one by one. Starting from their sitting postures, I tried to copy their every posture. Trying to live like a boy, I changed my clothing style and my living patterns. It felt awkward when I wore girl clothes for the first time in a while on a day I didn't have to film. Also, it's still a habit for me to walk like a boy."

The director also revealed, "At first I was concerned because I thought that Sulli would be too pretty as a boy. However, just like how she looks good with long hair she also looks good with short hair. She also showed a lot of passion at her audition. Her care-free nature matches with the character's as well."

The drama is based on a Japanese comic and the cast consists of SHINee's Minho, Lee Hyun Woo, Kim Ji Won, Seo Joon Young, Kang Ha Neul, and Kwang Hee. The first episode is to air on the 15th of August.
