Joo Wal (played by Yeon Woo Jin) assassinates Arang (played by Shin Min Ah) and then moves the body to the mountains, drawing much curiosity from viewers. Why is Nobleman Choi's (played by Kim Yong Gun) son doing such suspicious activity?

In the episode of the MBC drama 'Arang and the Magistrate' that aired on the 29th of August, Joo Wal transforms into an assassin and stabs Arang in the chest with a knife.

In this episode, an unknown woman asks Joo Wal, "Are you ready? I am looking forward to this time," to which he nods. After Joo Wal stabs Arang in the chest, he puts a talisman on her neck. This was done to seal Arang's sould.

Eun Oh (played by Lee Joon Gi) goes to check up on Arang and discovers blood. He tries to find her but can't. During that time, Joo Wal had moved Arang's body up the mountain.

The reason why Joo Wal killed Arang was revealed. In the past, Joo Wal was given a ring and the name Choi Joo Wal by Eun Oh's mother (played by Kang Moon Young). She tells Joo Wal, "Every full moon of the leap month bring me a girl whos soul is pure. The ring will tell you if a girl's sould is pure."

Eun Oh's mother enters and says, "It has been so long since the last full moon of the leap month. I waited for so long," while licking her lips.

On the other hand, 'Arang and the Magistrate' is a fantasy-romance about a ghost named Arang who is looking for the truth behind her death and a magistrate named Eun Oh, who has the ability to see ghosts.
