Mahershala Ali teased "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers as he said that Remy Danton will be in an emotional transition when the show comes back next year. Meanwhile, the actor also shared how Philip Seymour Hoffman blew him away.
The actor talked to The Hollywood Reporter about what to expect from Frank Underwood's adventures in the third season of the Netflix series.
He counts himself blessed for being part of "House of Cards" season 3, which features a great cast and writers.
"If I wasn't on the show, I would definitely binge, because it's a little addicting. I wish we got to shoot more episodes, because you watch them all at once then you have to wait a year. I feel like this season is going to be tight," he said.
He also teased "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers, particularly with what happens to Remy.
"I will say that this year is unique in that Remy has landed a really great job, but it's different than what we've seen before. It's not without complication. He's in an emotional transition for most of the season, which is great because the character kind of deepens. He's more three-dimensional and you learn more about his life outside of the work this season," he added.
Meanwhile, Mahershala Ali talked to THR about his time filming with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
"I got to witness someone in a very academic way pick something apart so it could resonate as truthful to him, which in turn makes it more truthful and believable for the audience. His attention to detail was unparalleled in my experience - and I've worked with a lot of wonderful actors," he said. "What blew me away, is he would have something really simple, and every single take he would do it differently. He could do 1,000 and he would find 1,000 ways to do one line. I was unbelievable. Every single take was fresh and he would find a new way to do it."
Watch out for more "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers as the airing date has yet to be announced by Netflix.
