Will Brooks MMA Career is doing quite well and in being so, he believes that he can fight any fighter in the lightweight division. But despite the overwhelming changes in his career, he has not seen his family since last Thanksgiving.
It has been a long journey for the new Bellator lightweight champion. There were bumps and bruises along the way but it was all worth it.
He said "It's crazy. I didn't really think of it like that, but yeah, it's true. It's been a huge change of events for me in this past year. I think I have to credit that to being patient, being willing to sacrifice that time with being my family back in Illinois and making the decision to move out here to Florida and train at American Top Team. I've made a lot of sacrifices this past year, year and a half. It's worth it. It really brought me to where I am today. I'm happy I made the decisions I made."
Will Brooks MMA skyrocketed because of two pivotal fights. These fights help him get to where he is right now. He got the recognition he deserved as well as the respect that he needed not only from the media but for the fans as well.
He added "Once we were actually out there for the [Bellator 131] event and the week leading up to it, all the media stuff and everything like that, I felt a little bit more appreciated. I felt a little bit more love while I was out there. The fans were showing me a little bit more love, especially after the fight. It's just one of those things."
"You work so hard in the gym. You put the time in, you sacrifice and you kinda wanted to be rewarded sometimes. It one of those type of deals where I was like frustrated and tired from training and working so hard. I was like, 'When is this ever going to pay off? Finally I feel like I'm exactly where I need to be."
And now that he is on top, Will Brooks MMA career is soaring high and so does his ambition, He believes that can take on any lightweight in Bellator, UFC or WSOF. How about you, do you think he has what it takes?
