Girl Power abounds in this week's "Supernatural" season 10 recap!
Viewers last saw Sherriff Jodi Mills (Kim Rhodes) rescuing a teenager from a crazy vampire family last season. In "Hibbing 911," we see her in another environment - a Sherriff's retreat. This setting also sets the perfect timing to put together Jodi and another female police officer that Sam and Dean met last season.
When the Sherriff's retreat gets side-tracked with a series of gruesome deaths, Jodi has no choice but to let Donna be her back-up. Surprisingly, tough cookie Jodi Mills and forever cheerful Sherriff Donna Hanscum (Brianna Buckmaster) make an excellent team.
On the other hand, Sam and Dean decide to help Jodi out seeing as their research for the Mark Of Cain is turning up with nothing at the moment.
During the course of the episode, viewers also find out more about the two women. Jodi, as we already know, lost her whole family in the most gruesome way and is currently looking after an ex-vampire teenager. Donna, in the meantime, is being treated as a doormat by her ex-husband who also happens to be a Sherriff from another County.
Despite her cheery, can't-actually-curse personality, Donna is the one who discovers that Hibbing's Sherriff true identity. When she finds out that he's a vampire, she insists on joining the hunters to look for him. However, they find out too late that the Sherriff was actually trying to go straight and the deaths were done by his former nest.
Thankfully, the group of scavenger vampires aren't the smartest of the lot, allowing Dean and Donna to slip out of the ropes that they were tied in as the head girl jabbers on about their life as vampires.
Dean cuts off two of the vampires' heads while Donna swings at the woman. They couldn't save the Sherriff, though, who gets executed by his own kind.
It seems that this week's "Supernatural" season 10 recap mostly revolves around how Donna finally finds the confidence in herself by becoming the hero for this episode. Do we have a new hunter in the making? Jodi also promises to share everything she knows about hunting with the jolly policewoman.
Dean tells Sam that he didn't feel the Mark Of Cain goading him to kill this time and although they seem apprehensive, the brothers remain optimistic in finding a way to get rid of it.
Next episode, however, the Mark will be making its return. Find out if Dean will become a demon again in the "Supernatural" midseason finale on December 9, 9 p.m. on the CW.
