What happened last week on "Constantine"? What should we look forward to for tonight's episode and the rest of the new season? Warning: spoilers ahead!
According to Hypable, "The slew of stills released by NBC for this week's episode of Constantine, "Blessed Are the Damned," highlight Zed's return to John's side after her absence last week. On the last episode of Constantine, John and Chas embarked on a mission together to investigate a series of child possessions which have lead to some gruesome murders. They eventually figure out that the spirit has been traveling along ley lines in order to find its next victim. They follow the same lines to Henry, a child who has recently been exhibiting some strange behavior. When John tries to bind the spirit to one place, in order to stop the deaths, his attempt fails. When Henry shows up wielding an ax, John manages to connect the dots back to Marcello, the first victim. Rather than a vengeful spirit, Marcello's soul had just fled his body - following the murder of his parents. John sends the spirit back into Marcello's body, leaving him to live out his days at the mental facility. This week's episode sees the return of Zed, as she travels with Constantine to investigate a miracle working preacher. It looks as though Zed will be testing the preacher's miracle working abilities directly from the stills for this episode, and Manny will also be making his return to aid John. Or so we assume. John appears to be giving Manny an ultimatum about his involvement in helping them against the terrors that haunt the earth during this week's promo - and we can't say that we blame him really."

"The next episode of NBC's tv show, Constantine, will be entitled "Blessed be the Damned," and could go a long way toward determining whether or not NBC picks up the show (provided, of course, that NBC is still deliberating the show's fate). The episode centers around a miracle-working priest, who apparently has gained the ability to heal thanks to a feather that once belonged to an angel. However, as we have learned from none other than John Constantine himself, there is always a sacrifice that must be made when it comes to wielding supernatural powers - so what price is the do-gooder priest paying when he is not healing his congregation? Episode will feature the return of Zed, who in all reality was only absent from episode 6, "The Rage of Caliban," because that episode was shown out of order. More intriguing to me is how prominently Manny, the angel who has been assigned the role of checking in with Constantine, will be factor into this episode's plot. So far, he has refrained from assisting Constantine in his effort to fight the rising darkness - will he continue to sit on the sidelines as he watches a mortal wield powers that only angels should possess? As we all know, rumors of Constantine's demise have been all over the Internet ever since NBC announced that it was halting production of the show at thirteen episodes. While this is never a good sign, this show has some factors working for it - namely, the fact that it was created by Daniel Cerone (Dexter) and David S. Goyer (Batman Begins), and that it has the support of DC Entertainment behind it," reports Fansided's 1428 Elm.
