A revelation was made by Japanese "Unbroken" actor Miyavi saying that their director Angelina Jolie was not eating much during filming.
Previous reports said that Miyavi reportedly got sick and couldn't stop crying during the shooting of "Unbroken" movie. He revealed to Vanity Fair that their director Jolie encouraged him "to immerse himself into the mindset of a man accustomed and desensitised to violence."
He further said, "It was awful torture for me to hate the other actors. I had to have hatred for them. When I had to beat them, I had to think about protecting my family. At the same time, I didn't want to be just a bad guy. I wanted to put humanity in this role. [Matsuhiro] was both crazy and sadistic, but also weak and traumatized."
Then another revelation was made by Miyavi during the live interview with HuffPost Live, alongside co-stars Jack O'Connell and Finn Wittrock.
The Japanese star said, "It was surprising how much she trusted me, all of us, on the set. She was so determined. I was also surprised how skinny she got. You know, she was not eating much. I felt so bad I was the only one who got fat during filming."
As for related news, the "Salt" actress was involved in car crash accident last week as the tire of her car exploded. Luckily, the actress and director didn't get any injuries.
The initial release date of "Unbroken" is set for November 17, 2014 in Sydney. Meanwhile, its US release date is set for December 25, 2014.
Aside from "Unbroken," Angelina will also direct and star in the movie titled "By The Sea." This romantic flick which also stars Jolie's husband, Brad Pitt, is set to launch in 2015.
