Care for some more spoilers?
"Not even America's longest-running animated show can avoid the popularity of Disney's "Frozen." On Sunday, when the opening credits of "The Simpsons" are completely re-imagined to fit the holiday theme, the weekly "couch gag" will feature a parody of the beloved children's movie. The show is a little behind the times with, what it calls, its "obligatory 'Frozen' reference." The short will be the first direct follow-up to the original, depicting Elsa and Kristoff trying their best to give Anna the best birthday party of her life. Right now, there's no word on Disney's plans for a sequel, but it would be hard to imagine that the Mouse House doesn't have something in the pipeline given "Frozen's" immense fan base. The couch gag is the cherry on top of the show's classic opening credits, which will be completely redone for the Christmas season to include things like each character having elf ears, Bart's skateboard replaced with a snowboard and the family car becoming a sleigh powered by Santa's Little Helpers (clones of their dog). The episode is titled "I Won't Be Home For Christmas" and will focus on Homer not being welcome back to the house after a night of binge drinking at Moe's. The couch gag will see family outcast Lisa Simpson as Elsa creating a giant ice castle to keep her family out. Homer makes a cameo as a dead-on Olaf, complete with a distaste for his own carrot nose," reports the International Business Times.
