Bad news gaming fans as the release date for the new L4D game, Left 4 Dead 3 will be delayed.
Turtle Rock has been the tool of creation for Valve for a long time and now they have finally went there separate ways from the father company and thus, became an independent game developer. One game that the studio is known for is 2008 first-person zombie game Left 4 Dead.
Now that Turtle Rock is not attached to anything it has left fans wondering what will happen to Left 4 Dead 3.
Phil Robb from Turtle Rock said that the developer is creating a new IP, Evolve. The upcoming game will be much like Left 4 Dead and players will have to work together to be able to overcome challenges along with accomplishing tasks.
Phil further adds that Evolve was the first game idea from Rock Turtle; however this was something that didn't blossom as far as it could have due to Valve having restrictions. Now that Turtle Rock has broken up with Valve, they would like to see Evolve materialize.
Phil also said talked about the L4D franchise and said that they are finished with the series and Turtle Rock has moved onto something new. Fans are disappointed about this and it is looking as if Turtle Rock is infected with the Valve disease in that they are not making trilogies.
Cyberland has reported before that Left 4 Dead 3 release date announcement along with Half-Life 3 happened at EGX 2014 and further adds that L4D3 would launch after the Source Engine 2 and the Steam Machines launches.
The fans pointed out that the wait for Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 was due to Source 2 game engine's development. Both Half-Life and Half-Life 2 was created on different engines but offered the best graphics way back then.
It can be assumed that we can see Left 4 Dead 3 and Half-Life 3 running on Source 2 as it will offer a whole new level of gaming experience. For a start, Source 2 will offer gamers that next-gen graphics on Half-Life 3.
A fan made trailer created by Youtube user name, Deviant Pictures Films went viral because it really does look like a professionally made trailer by Valve.
"Exhausted and frozen, Gordon and Alyx are looking for shelter from a snowstorm." That's the plot for the trailer and boy, did it excite.
"The trailer was simply well done. It has all the elements of a good trailer. This includes suspense, a strong hype-builder, 3D graphics, smooth rendering, well-picked soundtrack and many more. Upon seeing the trailer, one can only hope for it to be true. On the other hand, the trailer did create some confusion. Looking at the comments, there seems to be a huge argument on Alyx's skin colour. In the video, she appears as a white lady and many thought that she is black." As said by the site, Motoring Crunch in response to the video.
Will gamers see Left 4 Dead 3 and Half-Life 3 anytime soon? Sound off in the comments section below.
