No matter how put together Dean (Jensen Ackles) seems to be on the outside, he is still haunted by the Mark of Cain and the bloodlust that comes with it. Question is, when will he snap? Read on for the "Supernatural" season 10 recap of "The Things We Left Behind."
Dean tries to suppress his bloodlust by watching some classic comedies but it isn't enough to quell the hunger entirely. He makes Castiel promise to kill him should he become a demon again. Based on their history, would the angel be able to do what he promised?
Dean isn't the only one battling inner demons in this "Supernatural" season 10 recap. Both Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) have their plates full as well.
Castiel, triggered by Hannah's decision to give her vessel her life back, looks for Jimmy Novak's daughter Claire. What he isn't prepared for is to see a rebellious version of the sweet little girl he met before.
Driven by guilt, he breaks her out, only to be tricked as she runs away. He asks for Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's help to track Claire down. They find out that she and another kid had been taken in by a father figure who asks them to rob for him.
The Winchesters and Castiel save her from being raped but Dean gets tempted by the Mark to kill everyone in the room.
Despite seeing the evidence before his eyes, it's still evident that Sam is still hoping to redeem Dean from the Mark.
According to his monologue to Cole a couple of episodes ago, it looks like Dean has lost faith in his own salvation. He believes he won't be able to survive this curse; he's just waiting for the time that he has to pay for it.
On the other hand, Crowley is also facing his own demon - his mother Rowena. He and his mother don't have the best relationship either. If the Winchester brothers have daddy issues then Crowley has mommy issues.
Do you think Dean will become a demon again?
