Selena Gomez's Instagram post was recently under fire due to a supposed "disrespectful" photo taken in Dubai, which she later on took down. But Cara Delevingne's rumored girlfriend brushed off the said controversy as she went swimming with her friends.

The 22-year-old singer and actress, who has been in an on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber, took down a photo from her Instagram account that showed Selena Gomez's ankles. In the picture, the ceebrity was seen smiling while inside the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The act was said to be dishonoring.

When the photo was uploaded in Selena Gomez's Instagram account, comments from her followers immediately came flooding prompting the "Come & Get It" singer to take it down, USA Today said in a report.

User Alaa Almitwally commented, "Disrecpectful! It's a religion place not a place to have fun in, so disappointed."

Another Instagram photo of Selena Gomez with a group also showed off her ankles but she opted not to delete it.

The controversy, however, seemed to have not affected the rumored girlfriend of Cara Delevingne as she kept on posting fun snap shots of her getaway with model friends Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Australian crooner Cody Simpson.

Justin Bieber's ex girlfriend even posted a video while she was swimming in front of their luxurious hotel in Dubai, The Daily Mail said in a report.

Selena Gomez appeared to be having the time of her life while she frolicked in the waters as she threw peace signs together with her friends.

Before going to Dubai to welcome the New Year, Selena Gomez was with Cara Delevingne in her hometown in Texas to spend Christmas with her family.

The two recently became the subject of rumors claiming they are more than friends after they were spotted getting touchy while shopping for lingerie.
