Fans of the upcoming film "Jurassic World" and the comedy series "Parks and Recreation" were thrilled to see a mashup video of both movie and TV show. It was really hilarious watching Chris Pratt portray Owen and Andy Dwyer in one clip. The character of the 35-year old actor in Colin Trevorrow's film is more serious than his goofy character in the NBC comedy.
During an interview with MTV (via Screen Rant), the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star revealed that he couldn't believe that he got the role for the fourth installment of "Jurassic Park" since he has been labeled more of a comedian than a serious actor.
Chris Pratt has played the role of Andy Dwyer in the TV show "Parks and Recreation" since 2009. You can see his character again in the final episode of the comedy series, which will start airing on January 13. "Jurassic World", on the other hand, will be shown in theaters on June 12, 2015.
The actor was also asked by the website if Owen will be more like Dr. Grant (Sam Neill) or Dr. Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). He said, "He's got a little of both. He's got a little bit of the Goldblum cynicism but also the Sam Neill excitement at the wonder of the biology of it all, so it's a combination."
In the mashup video, Chris Pratt introduced himself to the people at the ferry heading to "Jurassic Park". He said, "Andy Dwyer...security...sweets...body man...javelin if need be." The plot of the made-up crossover film is that Andy Dwyer gets transferred to the dinosaur park.
When Bryce Dallas Howard announced that they had the first genetically modified hybrid, the actor made a funny remark: "That sounds pretty awesome! Yeah!" Other antics from Pratt were shown in the video - from fumbling over a counter to hitting an ambulance hard.
The editing of the mashup video isn't that perfect, but Sean Nolan, Caroline Director, and Deanna Director made many "Jurassic World" and "Parks and Recreation" fans happy. Thanks Mom Production uploaded the clip on YouTube on January 2 and it now has more than 900,000 views. Watch the viral video entitled "Jurassic Park and Recreation" below:
