What should we look forward to for the next episode of Season 5 (S05E11)? Warning: 5-O spoilers ahead!
As KpopStarz previously reported, "Showrunner Peter Lenkov had plenty of spoilers for season 5 of "Hawaii Five-0" including the relationship between McGarrett and Ellie, while Danny and Chin's past will catch up to them. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said that there's going to be nothing romantic between Ellie (Mirrah Foulkes) and Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), at least in the near future. "They're friends. I know people were saying there's a potential love interest, but right now they're just friends," he said. "I think they have a lot in common. They both lost parents, and I think there's just a great friendship there. She becomes a real asset to the team, but no romance, at least not on the horizon." Peter Lenkov also dished more "Hawaii Five-0" season 5 spoilers as he said the repercussions of Danny's brother's kidnapping and eventual death will be felt when the show returns. "The big deal is Chin Ho borrowed money from his ex-brother-in-law to help Danny pay this ransom," he said. "They went down to South America to pay that ransom. It turns out Danny's brother was actually dead. All that's going to come back and there's going to be a price to be paid for everything that happened in South America and everything that happened with Chin and his ex-brother-in-law." He said the writers of "Hawaii FIve-0" season 5 are trying to milk that story for an explosive conclusion. The showrunner also said that Robert Knepper and Terry O'Quinn will be back. "There's a big McGarrett/Terry O'Quinn story coming up," the showrunner said. "It's going to pay off everything we did in the first half of the season with regards to that arc. Danny and Chin really bent the law there, and they're not going to get away with it."
What will happen on next week's episode of "Hawaii Five-0" called "Poina'ole (Not Forgotten)?" According to the show's official synopsis, "A neurosurgeon is assassinated just before performing a surgery. The investigation uncovers the truth behind the disappearance of four reform school boys over 40 years ago. Meanwhile, McGarrett's beloved Mercury Marquis is stolen by an unlikely culprit."
It will certainly be interesting to see all of this play out! Check out the "Ua'aihue (Stolen)" (tonight's episode) sneak peek preview videos here (promo clips contains spoilers):
