"Scandal" is back this Thursday, gladiators! After the long and painful two-month hiatus, the hit Shonda Rhimes show is finally back on January 29 on ABC. Olivia Pope's kidnapping will be the central story in Thursday's "Run." After her abduction in episode 9, viewers will finally learn what happened from her perspective.

According to the official ABC synopsis, "The winter premiere picks up right where the finale left off, this time from Olivia's point of view."

"Exactly what happened when Jake went to the bedroom? Who took Olivia and where did she go?" asks ABC.

"The fight of Olivia's life will begin on the January return of 'Scandal,'" foreshadows the synopsis.

TV Guide adds that "Details of Olivia's abduction from her own home are seen from her point of view" in Thursday's midseason premiere.

On episode 11, called "Where's the Black Lady?," we will watch as "Olivia remains missing, so her team members unite to try to rescue her safely."
