When the ballots were in for the Third Annual DramaFever Awards, more than 1.5 million people had voted. And on February 5 the awards honoring k-drama excellence were presented to a sold-out audience at the Hudson Theater in New York City. The former Broadway theatre was an appropriate venue for the star-studded event. It sometimes serves as a film studio.
An international sampling of celebrities helped host the event. Korean-American actress Arden Cho of "Teen Wolf" presented awards with popular Taiwanese actor George Hu.
Seo Kang Joon of the k-drama "Cunning Single Lady," Kim Jong Kook of the variety show "Running Man" and Yuki Furukawa of the Japanese drama "Mischievous Kiss 2" helped host the ceremony.
Hudson Yang, the 11-year-old star of the ABC sitcom "Fresh Off The Boat" also showed up for the event. And besides presenting awards Seo Kang Joon also performed with his group 5urprise for the awards audience.
One of the evening's highlights was the video acceptance speech from Kim Soo Hyun. He acknowledged receiving the Best Movie award on behalf of his film "Secretly, Greatly."
