Marvel fans are awaiting the details for “Thor 3” to be released as plot and casting rumors continue to surface.
Tom Hiddleston, who is expected to take on the role of Loki once again for “Thor 3” (or “Thor: Ragnarok”), may have teased fans recently with a little slip of plot details.
“‘Thor 3’ is happening at some point and the last time we saw Loki he was on the throne, so there’s some questions to be answered,” Hiddleston told a reporter on the red carpet, according to the International Business Times.
Going off of what Hiddleston hinted at, there are reportedly rumors and speculation that Loki’s brother will eventually find out about his deception in “Thor 3.” Although that seems like the way to go, nothing has yet been confirmed.
The comic-book version of “Thor: Ragnarok” reportedly refers to a mythical cataclysmic event that leads to the death of the gods and the destruction of Asgard, according to Screenrant.
“I think that in the comic book the sort of end-of-days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in,” explained Chris Hemsworth before the official announcement of the film.
He added, “Where it’s sort of the end of all things and there’s obviously no script or anything, when I read the comic books, I thought it was an interesting way to go.”
So far, aside from the exciting casting and plot rumors, “Thor 3” is reportedly going through some changes and experiencing some bumps. There are rumors that a new director is being searched for; currently, the list of potential directors includes Adam McKay, Gareth Edwards and Matt Reeves, according to Cinemablend.
The movie had also reportedly been planned for a July 28, 2017 release date, but has since been pushed back to November 3, 2017, according to The Wrap.
During his recent BAFTA red-carpet interview, Tom Hiddleston also reportedly hinted at the fact that the role of Loki may not be an ongoing one.
“I don’t know if I could. I think if I keep dying my hair black, it’s going to fall out,” joked the actor.
He continued, “I love the character. It’s a great character; it’s amazing how the whole Marvel world has been embraced by people who love film.”
