Before the "Jurassic World" trailer was revealed, Colin Trevorrow hinted that there will be a new creature in the fourth installment. "There are dinosaurs and there's the other-there's this thing that is not one of them, that is not of them," the director told E! Online.
Fans can't wait to see what the new dinosaur looks like because the new trailer didn't reveal much about it. We only saw parts of its legs and mouth which even has blood on its teeth. It looks like a typical Tyrannosaurus Rex, but a lot smarter and larger. According to IBT, they heard a scientist claim that the new dinosaur was designed to be bigger than the T-Rex.
Colin Trevorrow, on the hand, explained that the hybrid dinosaur isn't a mutant freak as what some people think it was because it had a mixture of different genes. "It doesn't have a snake's head or octopus tentacles. It's a dinosaur, created in the same way the others were, but now the genetics have gone to the next level," he told Slash Film.
Finally, we got a first look at the "Jurassic World" hybrid dinosaur known as Indominus Rex, or formerly known as Diabolus Rex. Hasbro released its toy collection of the dinosaur movie. Included in its line of toys is a genetically engineered creature that has a grayish color and huge mouth with flesh-ripping teeth as reported by CNET.
It also has red eyes, muscular arms and the hands seem to have the capacity to pick locks and grab things. Maybe that's how it was able to get out of its cage and destroy the park. The website also reported that the Indominus Rex toy will be out in the market this spring and it features a roaring SFX, color-morphing skin, and chomping action.
Apart from those cool details, the "Jurassic World" hybrid dinosaur is also known to be female. It was confirmed in the official trailer when Chris Pratt's character Owen said: "She's a highly intelligent animal. She'll kill anything that moves."
