"Scandal" Season 4 is well under way, and the show has already welcomed a variety of guest stars. From Portia de Rossi to Mary McCormack to Brian Benben, actors are flocking to make an appearance on the hit ABC show. The latest, and perhaps most surprising star to be announced in a guest role is "Girls" actress and creator Lena Dunham!
Lena Dunham, a self-described Scandal addict, has apparently been lobbying for a small part in the show for years. Looks like her dreams have officially become a reality, as Natalie Abrams of Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room has recently revealed that the "Girls" star will appear on "Scandal" sometime in March.
"Sometimes being a huge fan of a show really does pay off. I hear Girls star Lena Dunham will guest in an upcoming episode slated to air in March," teased the Spoiler Room exclusive.
"While her role is, of course, being kept under wraps, I hear she may have a connection to OPA. Wouldn't it be cool if Hannah Horvath was secretly a Gladiator?" suggested Natalie Abrams of EW.
Will Lena Dunham's character work under Olivia Pope? Or will she be a client of OPA? Better yet, could she be an adversary?
Last February, the "Girls" star made her obsession with the show public in an interview with Grantland.
"Basically, my life's great passion is the idea of being a guest-star on Scandal," Lena divulged.
"I want to be like, a senator who did something wrong," she suggested. Could that be the role she's given? Or will she and the "Scandal" team surprise us?
Or could Dunham reprise her role as the unaware gladiator-in-training she played in an SNL sketch last March?
