Will there be a young Luke Skywalker who will appear in flashbacks? That seems to be the direction the film is going, according to the latest "Star Wars Episode 7" spoilers.
A post from the fans site, Making Star Wars, said that it received a tip alleging that Robert Boulter will be playing a young Luke Skywalker in the flashback sequence for "The Force Awakens."
"Upon further investigation it appears, according to the master character list for the film there is indeed a young Luke Skywalker in the picture, sometimes referred to as The Young Original Warrior," it said.
"So this is just a rumor, but it appears there's a chance Boulter could be playing a post-Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker in 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' We don't know for sure. We just know young Luke is listed in the film's character list and there's recent and older rumors putting Robert Boulter in the vicinity of the/a role," it added.
Cinema Blend weighed in on the "Star Wars Episode 7" spoilers as it said that casting unknown Robert Boulter for a very important role is noteworthy.
"The actor happens to bear a striking similarity to a young Mark Hamill and it could easily be seen as more than a coincidence," the article said.
Regarding the rumored flashbacks, Cinema Blend that there's always that possibility that J.J. Abrams "would continue that narrative habit," because the director is known "for the wanton utilization of flashbacks in several of his past works."
Previous rumors surrounding the film alleged that J.J. Abrams lobbied to Disney for a summer release because he could no longer take the "Star Wars Episode 7" spoilers being spread around on the Internet.
"J J's biggest reason was reported to be that all of the 'Star Wars' plot leaks and pictures of characters had sent him on a little scare that more and more would be leaked therefore making the film predictable and not worth watching," said Movie Pilot.
