Charlize Theron and boyfriend Sean Penn looked like a family with little Jackson on a lunch date at Coogies Beach Cafe in Malibu on Sunday.
Sean Pean was shown to be very protective of three-year-old Jackson, Charlize Theron's adopted son, as he held his hand to make sure he doesn't go rushing off onto the road.
"Jackson certainly appeared to be quite comfortable with her mom's boyfriend of over a year as he held up his arm for the Fast Time At Ridgemont High star to hold on the stroll," said Daily Mail.
"Charlize looked casual chic on the outing as she donned a long, blue cardigan sweater over a grey top, black tights and grey Nike trainers," the report added. "She had her signature platinum blonde locks tied back in a ponytail as she wore a pair of shades over her face which had minimal make-up on it."
Sean Penn, meanwhile, was again wearing his bomber jacket over a gray shirt and denims. He also wore Aviator glasses to complete the look.
The 54-year-old actor caused some controversy during the Oscars when he presented his friend, Mexican Alejandro Inarritu, with the Best Director award for "Birdman."
Before reading the teleprompter, Sean Penn quipped, "Who gave this son of a b**** his green card?"
That didn't sit well with people who are not privy to the friendship between Sean Penn and Alejandro Inarritu and accused him of racist remarks.
The director was quick to defend his friend when he told reporters afterwards, "I found it hilarious. Sean and I have that kind of brutal (relationship) where only true friendship can survive."
Boston Herald recounted an anecdote when a French reporter asked Sean Penn if Charlize Theron is his girlfriend. The actor said that the South African beauty is "not my girlfriend ... She's the love of my life."
