NVidia Introduces New GeForce GTX 960M And NVidia GTX 950M Notebook GPUs Boasting Never-Before-Seen Features, Design And Performance!

Looks like good news for gamers as NVidia announced the GTX 960M and 950M filling out the awesome GTX 900M lineup.

Renowned manufacturer of graphics processing units (GPUs) and system-on-chip unit (SOCs), NVidia announced two new GPUs - the GeForce GTX 960M and 950M, which will be an expansion to its GTX 900M lineup.

NVidia's Brian Choi announced on the company's blog that the GeForce GTX 960M and 950M delivers never-before-seen levels of gaming performance housed inside sleek notebook designs.

The announcement confirmed that they are available immediately, giving gamers an opportunity to choose from a wide range of more thin and light gaming notebooks than ever before. In fact, many now have notebooks less than 1 inch thick.

ShadowPlay

According to DigitalTrends, the GTX 960M and 950M will work with features like ShadowPlay, which allows for seamless video uploading on online video streaming website, YouTube as well as live streaming on Twitch.

BatteryBoost

In addition, they will also support BatteryBoost, a feature that gives users added battery life while using their device.

Optimus

The feature automatically optimizes the notebook to offer the best graphics performances or best battery life based on the application.

In addition, the product supports DirectX 12.

According to PCWorld, the GTX 960M is a Maxwell-based part with 640 CUDA cores and a clock speed of 1096MHz, in addition to a boosted speed that clocks the chip to a higher speed depending on thermals. The GeForce GTX 960M features a 128-bit memory bus and GDDR5 up to 2500NHz.

On the other hand, the GeForce GTX 950M features similar CUDA core count as well as memory bus interface, however its clock is lower at 914MHz. Plus, the 950M feature the option to run on DDR3 at far lower speeds. The GTX 950M has 32GB/s or 80GB/s of memory bandwidth.

The NVidia GTX 960M is first appearing in the Lenovo Y50, Alienware 13, Asus G501, Acer V Nitro and HP Omen.
