Good news DC fans as new cast members for the "Suicide Squad" movie have been revealed along with rumored appearances from two DC superheroes.
According to Cinemablend, "Fury" star Scott Eastwood and Canadian boxer Ray Olubowale have been added in David Ayer's super villain film "Suicide Squad". Canadian entertainment eTalk revealed that Eastwood s currently in Toronto in preparation for the "Suicide Squad's" production, and it is not detemine what kind of role will he play in the movie.
As for Olubowale, Toronto Sun has reported that the "Resident Evil: Afterlife" actor will be part of the DC Cinematic Universe under the project name "Bravo 14", but he confirmed that he will join the "Suicide Squad" movie alongside Will Smith, Jared Leto etc.
“It’s fantastic, genuinely fantastic,” Olubowale told Toronto Sun. “It’s an opportunity to never grow up. You’re just one big kid playing make-believe and you’re compensated well.”
Screenrant has reported that Olubowale will likely play two characters in the film. Due to Olubowale size he is hinted to play King Shark in the film as was hinted in the early draft of the script.
Another character he could possibly play is the powerhouse villain Blockbuster. Screenrant previously reported that Blockbuster is among the three characters rumored to join the film along with Vixen and Multiplex.
Aside from the cast members, two DC superheroes are rumored to join the "Suicide Squad".
According to Screenrant, Latino Review insider Umberto Gonzalez posted another detail in Intagram revealing that Amanda Waller has in her possession Aquaman's trident.
As explained in the post, Aquaman's trident is found in Amanda Waller's "secret trophy case" as the Gonzales hinted that Waller took the trident after the events of "Batman V Superman" film.
Jason Mamoa's character has been heavily hinted to have a cameo appearance in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", and now that Waller has his prized weapon, perhaps a cameo in the" Suicide Squad" could happen.
Aside from Aquaman, Batman is also rumored in the "Suicide Squad" movie as the early parts of the script revealed that Waller is looking for the Dark Knight because he is the key to finding out more super powered beings in the planet.
Forbes reportedly claimed that Batman's cameo could trigger the events for the new Batman film in the DC Cinematic Universe as the Joker escaped in Belle Reve during the prison riot in the "Suicide Squad" film.
"Suicide Squad" movie is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2016.
