It looks like DeNA is hopeful that its first game, made in conjunction with Nintendo, will generate more than ¥3 billion ($25 million) per month.

In March, Japanese electronics giant, Nintendo announced that it is partnering with Japanese mobile company, DeNA to produce games for smart devices.

The two companies recently agreed on a major deal to collaborate on bringing Nintendo's IP to mobile devices. While speaking to Reuters, DeNA chief executive Isao Moriyasu said that although DeNA has yet to discuss specific financial targets with the console firm, it wanted to tower above its previous best selling game, Kaito Royale, which brought in $25 million a month on average.

The Japanese company said on April 1 in an interview with Reuters, that it's confident that its Nintendo games can generate over $25 million ( ¥3 billion) per month. Moriyasu told Reuters that the company plans to create games that will be played by "hundreds of millions of people."

GameSpot noted that DeNA had previously said it was hoping to topple Candy Crush and generate over 100 million daily active players for its Nintendo games. In order to achieve this, Moriyasu said DeNA will create a catalog of remarkably compelling titles. He also reportedly revealed that the company wants to create multiple hit games, instead of focusing on succeeding with just one powerful IP element.

Nintendo and DeNA have not revealed the revenue sharing details for the forthcoming smartphone games. Nevertheless, analysts told Reuters that Nintendo is likely to make around 70% from all proceeds.

The first DeNA-Nintendo mobile game is slated to be released later this year, although Nintendo has not announced any official project so far.

Investors received Nintendo's gigantic move into the smartphone market positively. As a result of which, shares of the company skyrocketed by more than 30 percent. In addition, the company also announced that it has started working on a new system dubbed, "NX."

Nintendo says it won't reveal any details about this system until 2016.
