Good news for gamers! The renowned publisher of hit titles including "Final Fantasy," "DragonQuest," and "Kingdom Hearts," Square Enix, has revealed the imminent release of a new game on its Twitter account.

In March, Japanese video-game developer Square Enix asked fans what games they want it to make. On Friday, April 3, the company made an announcement on Twitter, teasing the release of a forthcoming "Project CKP" on April 6.

According to HardcoreGamer, the interactive project is slated to premiere on Twitch, a live streaming platform that majorly focuses on video gaming, allowing gamers to live stream their gameplay.

The announcement is an indication that Square Enix's Western Studios has a game in the works and is all set to showcase it to the world in the span of three days.

Unlike other studios that just share a trailer or a photo of a title, Square Enix will unveil the game via a three-day long "interactive experience" starting Monday, April 6 on Twitch, GameRant noted. Apparently, the game is produced by one of Square Enix's Western studios.

The tweet that shows off a grim picture of a chair that resembles something that is used to execute or torture someone hints at a few details about what can they expect from the interactive experience. Judging by the clues provided, the game seems to either belong to "Sleeping Dogs," "Deus Ex," or "Hitman."

"Sleeping Dogs" Sequel

GameRant noted that the first option, "Sleeping Dog," is the least likely of three, although fans probably wouldn't want to count it out. After all, the game was developed by United Front and published by Square Enix. That said, United Front Games is situated in Vancouver, Canada, making it a "Western" studio.

United Front Games is currently working on a spin-off of 2012's "Sleeping Dogs," an open world online game called "Triad Wars," but there are reportedly very thin chances that Monday's reveal would focus on Triad Wars. The obvious reason is the difference between what fans saw from Triad Wars in September and the pic in the Square Enix's tweet.

Hitman

The second guess is that Square Enix will reveal the upcoming game as part of the "Hitman" series. Hitman is developed by IO Interactive, which is situated in Copenhagen, Denmark (Denmark can be considered a "Western" studio). According to the GameRant report, Square Enix Montreal, located in Canada, may be helping with the new game, too, despite the announcement a while ago that Square Enix Montreal would focus on the smartphone and tablet version of the Hitman series, instead of the PC and console versions.

If a statement made by IO Interact in an open in letter sent in January 2014 is anything to go by, the next Hitman title would be less linear and incorporate more open-ended maps. In addition, there would be a full reveal of the game in 2015, according to GameRant.

Those clues added to the photo share in the tweet, it seems quite possible that fans could see Agent 47 back at work on April 6.

Deus Ex Sequel?

The final prediction, the next Deus Ex game is most likely to be related to that Monday's Twitch reveal. Deus Ex is developed by Eidos Montreal, which is again situated in Canada and definitely "Western."

A few other clues also make Deus Ex the best candidate.

The photo revealed in the tweet has an unmistakably "Deus Ex" feel right from the ominous tone, the lighting, and dark nature point to Deus Ex more than either Hitman or Sleeping Dogs. In addition, a new Deus Ex title, called Deus Ex Universe, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One is in the making.

The Twitch reveal is meant to provide an interactive experience, which implies that developers can show off some Deus Ex gameplay and provide more details even if the game won't be completed anytime soon.

A New Game?

All that said, the possibility of Square Enix releasing a brand new IP cannot be ruled out, but fans will likely be hoping that whatever the publisher reveals, it surely will be good.
