Gamers rejoice! Nintendo has confirmed that it will be releasing a slew of existing games to its Wii U virtual consoles.
The Japanese multinational consumer electronics company announced that it will be bringing out an array of its existing games to the Wii U virtual console and releasing new ones. At the latest Nintendo Direct event, numerous exciting things related to the upcoming plans and releases from Nintendo were revealed.
The latest Nintendo Direct featured a 48-minute video stream, in which the company discussed what fans can expect in the following months. Nintendo's forthcoming offerings will reportedly cover the latest updates on Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros., besides the latest inclusions for the Wii U Virtual Console.
According to YouthHealthMag, Lucina, Pac-Man, Amiibos, Ness, Robin and Wario, Greninja, and Jigglypuff are expected to be released on May 29. Fans can also look forward to amiibos Dark Pit and Palutena for July, while Bowser Jr. Zero Suit Samus, Pikmin, Ganondorf, amiibos, Dr. Mario, and are slated for release in September. "Splatoon" is scheduled to be release by May 29. "Mario Maker" has been given a September release date.
According to TheChristianTimes, the company announced a slew of Nintendo DS games that cost $7 to $10 each. Games such as "Yoshi's Island DS" and "Super Mario 64" are already available for purchase, while others will be released throughout this month.
There is also a new form of amiibos cards based on the characters that make an appearance in "Animal Crossing." Players can reportedly use the cards with the "Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer" game. They do the same with the New Nintendo 3DS. However, players who want to apply them with an older model will need to buy an NFC peripheral, which is scheduled to launch along with "Animal Crossing."
Ever since its release in Nov. 2014, fans have reportedly complained over the short supply of Amiibos. The situation got worse in April 2, at the time preorders for the 4th wave of the figures resulted to more shortage.
According to the website, Nintendo didn't create enough Amiibos to meet the demand. The company has yet to comment on what it intends to do with this issue.
