Slightly Mad Studios have released the system requirements needed to run their new game Project Cars on the PC ahead of its release next month.

According to Game Spot, to run Project Cars on a PC, the minimum system requirements needed are the following: a CPU with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 or a 3.0 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 940 processor; for graphics, an Nvidia GTX 260 or an ATI Radeon HD 5770; and for memory, 4GB RAM and 1GB VRAM.

Other recommended system requirements in order to play Project Cars are: a CPU with a 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 3700 or a 4.0 GHz AMD FX-8350, Nvidia GT600 series graphics card or an AMD Radeon HD7000 series graphics card for running graphics, and 8GB RAM and 2GB VRAM for memory.

Slightly Mad Studios have also released a breakdown on resolution and frame rates for "Project CARS."

The game can run Up to 12K resolution on PC, with the frame rate dependent on the PC's hardware; the game can run 1080p and 60 frames per second on Sony's PlayStation 4; while the game runs 900p and 60 frames per second on the Xbox One.

In a statement released last September 2014, Slightly Mad Studios said they were aiming for 1080p on both consoles, but they were unable to due to the limitations presented by Microsoft's Xbox One. The resolution and frame rates for the Wii U version of "Project CARS" will be announced at a later date.

Project Cars is set to be released some time in mid-May for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while no official release date has been announced for the Wii U version.

Meanwhile, Slightly Mad also shared that Project Cars will not be coming to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 anytime soon. The company said that the technical specifications of the aforementioned gaming platforms were not "good enough" and that they did not want to compromise the version of the game.
