Ha Ji Won’s interviews make her seem cheerful, fun and adventurous. Having seen her act in a few dramas, it’s easy to imagine she would make a great traveling companion.
Fortunately, you don’t have to pack any bags to go on an adventure with her. You don’t even have to buy a plane ticket. A new reality program, “Go, go with Unnie,” will let you accompany the actress to the south of France without ever having to leave your home.
The first stop in this travel reality show is the French Riviera. “Go, go with Unnie” was filmed in and around the town of Grasse, which has been called the world capital of perfume.
The focus of the OnStyle program is to go somewhere and enjoy life as if you were a local. Ha Ji Won’s stay did not include a hotel or directions from a guidebook. While filming, the actress lived with a local family and explored surrounding attractions based on recommendations from the people she met. Based on these recommendations she created her own guidebook and listed the best of everything she encountered, whether that was a restaurant, a grocery store or a bookstore. Ha Ji Won interacted with her host family and their neighbors in a variety of activities, including gardening and food shopping.
Photos that the actress posted on Instagram show her gardening in style, wearing a wide-brimmed hat to shade her face from the sun.
The fact that the show was being filmed there attracted the attention of one of France’s top 10 newspapers, Nice-Martin. The newspaper published an article about a famous Korean actress living the life of a local. Ha Ji Won was interviewed in the town’s market, buying local foods such as cheese, jam and ham.
“I have always wanted to visit Grasse and I think it’s amazing,” said Ha Ji Won in the newspaper article.
The program began filming on April 2 and is expected to air on April 28.
Hopefully the filming will provide something of a vacation for the very busy actress. Last year Ha Ji Won appeared in the historical saga “Empress Ki” and the film “The Huntresses.” She can also be seen in “Chronicles of a Blood Merchant.” Her next drama begins filming soon. Ha Ji Won will star in the SBS drama “The Time I Loved You, 7,000 Days” with co-star lee Jin Wook. The drama is due to air in June.
A short teaser for the program is featured below.
