The "Tekken 7" character Josie Rizal is now available in the arcades while Lucky Chloe is reportedly not Japanese.

According to Event Hubs, the "Tekken 7" character Josie Rizal is now available in Japanese arcades. Rizal is the latest newcomer to the game and the developer revealed her character about three weeks ago.

Earlier this month, "Tekken 7" character Josie Rizal faced controversies after the Chairman of National Commission for Culture in the Arts (NCCA) in the Philippines Felipe De Leon Jr. and other community members criticized the choice.

"The Commission shall issue a statement soon on what actions it will take upon studying the legal aspect of this matter, in coordination with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines," said De Leon, according to the report of the Inquirer.

The NCCA on April 2 also posted on Instagram and clarified the issue.

"The NCCA has not asked for the deletion of the Tekken character Josie Rizal. This was mentioned in a satire website not connected in any way to the government agency."

The director Katsuhiro Harada said that Josie Rizal is a tribute to the country's national hero and explained that they consulted a Filipino to design the character, cited Crossmap.

He added that he is happy with the feedback on Josie Rizal, which is 94 percent positive. In addition, Josie Rizal has a fighting style that mixes kickboxing and Eskrima.

Meanwhile, Harada also confirmed that Lucky Chloe is not actually Japanese, but a "culture freak" and her character is more difficult to learn, according to Crossmap.

The site added that there are 24 confirmed playable characters in "Tekken 7", they are Alisa, Asuka, Bryan, Claudio, Devil Jin, Dragunov, Feng, Heinachi, Hwoarang, Jin, Josie Rizal, Katarina, Kazumi, Kazuya, Lars, Law, Leo, Lili, Luck Chloe, Paul, Shaheen, Steve and Xiaoyu.

Meanwhile, the "Tekken 7" release dates for PlayStation 4, PC and other consoles have not yet been confirmed by the developer.
