When the drama "Angry Mom" began, Ji Hyun Woo's character was sure he could make a difference. It was harder than the idealistic teacher Park No Ah imagined it would be to battle corruption, but Park stepped up to the challenge.

1. He started out his entertainment career as a musician. He was a session guitarist for the band Moonchild and then the lead guitarist for the indie rock band The Nuts. That experience came in handy when he played an idol group leader in the film "Mr. Idol" and also when he played a washed-up musical star in "Trot Lovers."
In a promotional interview for "Mr. Idol" given to the Korean media outlet Economy Today, he said, "I don't know how I survived living off the unpredictable income. I must have really liked music."
2. He played the role of Danny Zuko role in a Korean production of the musical "Grease" and contributed to the cast recording. After that he contributed to the soundtracks of several of his films and dramas. His most recent musical OST contribution was the love song All Day, written expressly for "Trot Lovers."
3. His breakout role was in the historical fantasy drama "Queen Inhyun's Man." In that drama he played Kim Boong Do, a Joseon-era nobleman who was convinced of Queen Inhyun's innocence. He accidentally travels to the present and meets an actress playing Queen Inhyun, played by Yoo In Na, and then has to decide where his real loyalties lie.
He and Yoo In Na began to date after that drama, with the actress declaring that he was now "Yoo In Na's man," but the couple broke up while he was serving his military duty.
"He's the kind of guy who acts in a way that makes girls fall for him," said Yoo In Na.
4. Ji Hyun Woo does not think of himself as an actor but rather as a regular person who chose acting as a way to make a living. He is not all that interested in the celebrity part of being an actor and does not often give interviews.
5. He works hard as an actor. To memorize his scripts and get inside the mind of the writer, he writes his drama scripts out by hand.
