Actor Yoo Seung Ho have quietly enlisted in the Korean military.
The actor enlisted on the morning of March 5th, without letting the public, his fans, and the media know.
He reported to the base located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province with only his agency's CEO and family in attendance.
The actor bids his farewell to his loyal fans through a video posted on his fan cafe, “talk to you.”
In the video, the actor said, “Sorry to my fans for not telling you in advance, but I didn’t think it was fair to other soldiers, entering with me on the same day to have special treatment. This is the way I work, and it is normal for men my age to enter the military and it is something I want to do. I look forward to this new experience and I will return safely.”
The actor will serve in the Korean military for 21 months, as it is mandatory for every single male, as an active duty soldier.
Before, his latest drama “I Miss You” ended, the actor announced that he will enlist in the military as soon as he could, and a month after the drama ended, and after finishing a few final projects, like a music video, a magazine photo shoot, and narrating a documentary, the actor is now a soldier.
