Lee Jun Ki was injured on the set of his latest drama "The Scholar Who Walks At Night."

The actor, who plays a leading role, reportedly fractured his nose.

His agency, Namoo Actors told the Korean media outlet TV Report that the accident happened while they were filming a scene during the early morning hours.

"Lee Jun Ki fractured his nose while he was filming at dawn," said the Namoo Actors representative. "We plan on making sure his condition is stable before we resume filming."

The actor had surgery on his nose and is resting at the moment. According to his agency he is going to try his best not to delay the drama's production schedule, as the first episode is supposed to air in July.

However, many scenes for the drama were filmed in May, so his absence may not create too much of a delay.

It's not the first time that Lee Jun Ki sustained an injury while rehearsing or filming. In 2014 he injured his leg while rehearsing for his 2014-15 Lee Jun Ki Asia Tour Together. His doctors told him to cancel the show but Lee proceeded with the fan meeting concert as planned. He received treatment for his injury after his obligations to fans were fulfilled.

He seriously injured his forehead while rehearsing for the musical "Voyage of Life" in 2010." But despite having an injury that required 50 stitches, he appeared at a press conference for the musical with his head swathed bandages. He performed on the musical's opening night, although he did have to take off the second night due to the serious nature of his injury.

Lee Jun Ki sustained more than one injury while he was filming the 2008 historical drama "Iljimae." That happened because he filmed many of the dangerous stunt scenes himself.

"Most of the dangerous stunts were done by me personally, without any stunt doubles," the actor said when he appeared on the program "Kim Jung Eun Chocolate." "So, inevitably there would be injuries. But to me, scars are like medals and also milestones of my acting career."

In his upcoming drama Lee Jun Ki plays a Joseon-era vampire. His last small screen appearances were in the historical drama "The Joseon Gunman" and the action thriller "Two Weeks."
