Actress Lee Bo Young delivered a healthy baby girl on June 13. The 36-year-old star and her husband, actor Ji Sung, welcomed their first child. The birth announcement was delivered by Will Entertainment, the agency representing Lee.
An official from he company provided a statement to Newsen, addressing the joyous news. "Lee Bo Young gave birth to a girl, today," said the representative. "A lot of love and attention are being given to the mother and child. Both are healthy."
The representative went on to note the length of their marriage and their enthusiastic reaction towards parenthood. "It was a long wait so they are grateful the baby is healthy," said the agency official. "She will see you soon, with more good work. Please send bountiful blessings to Lee Bo Young."
Lee is best known by international fans for her charismatic portrayal of Jang Hye Sung in "I Can Hear Your Voice." Audiences were drawn to the eyewitness-turned-public defender and the dynamic storyline. "I Can Hear Your Voice" also served as the breakout role for Lee Jong Suk.
Ji recently received attention for his role in the psychological drama, "Kill Me, Heal Me." He portrayed Cha Do Hyun, a conglomerate heir suffering from dissociative or multiple personality disorder.
Ji and Lee were married in September 2013. They met on the set of the 2004 series, "Save the Last Dance for Me." The couple officially announced that they were dating in 2007. Their relationship is often praised by Korean media and fans.
