PC Gamers rejoice! The Coalition announced that Gears of "War: Ultimate Edition" will soon land on PC later this year.

The Coalition's Rod Ferguson revealed at the PC Gaming Show that "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" is slated to come to PC. Talking about the remastered game, Ferguson stated, "we built everything from the ground up."

The Ultimate Edition boast visual enhancements, support for 4K resolution and DirectX 12, but no framerate locking, according to reports on PC Gamer.

Microsoft has not offered a lot recently as far as PC gamers are concerned, however it looks like the tech giant is compensating for that. During the PC Gaming Show, Microsoft's Phil Spencer revealed that both "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" and the 2013 version of Killer Instinct will come to Windows 10.

Spencer did not reveal much about when these ports will show up, nor did he reveal much whether or not they will have any new tricks up their sleeves.

Iron Galaxy Studios' Dave Lang, however confirmed Spencer's hint that KI will feature a Fable Legends-style cross-platform play that allows players to brawl with your Xbox One-toting friends.

Though this is not the same as bringing a truly new "Gears of War" or other forefront Xbox titles to the PC, nevertheless this is a welcome sign that Microsoft's impression of computer gaming is indeed improving, Engadget noted.

Talking about when can fans expect any Gear-related news for PC gamers, Rod Ferguson simply responded that it might be announced in the future. This may be an indication that the recently announced "Gears of War 4" could be coming to PC at some point.

In related news, Hello Games too at the PC Gaming Show mentioned that "No Man's Sky" will launch on the PC at the same time as the PS4 version. For those who do not like Microsoft's offering, they will at least have one highly anticipated title waiting in the wings.
