Rumors are circulating that Josh Duggar's family is allegedly worried about him being depressed and suicidal after the news about his molestation scandal purportedly tainted the reputation of his family.
According to Hollywood Life, members of the family popularized by the TLC show "19 Kids and Counting" are allegedly concerned that Josh Duggar might do something 'drastic' amid stress and pressure following the scandal.
"Josh has seen his world and his family's world crumble," a source reportedly told Star Magazine. "And he knows that it's all his fault. He can never rebound himself from this. He is hiding away leaving his loved ones fearing the worst, [that] he will do something drastic."
Josh Duggar's parents Jim Bob and Michelle are also purportedly worried about their firstborn. Josh is allegedly getting crushed by the humilitation the molestation scandal has brought to him and his family.
"The longer he stays isolated, the more depressed he gets - that has his loved ones terrified for him," explains the mag's insider. "They fear that shame is too much." So sad!
News about Josh Duggar scandal broke a few weeks ago. The eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's kids reportedly molested five minors when he was a child. The victims reportedly included some of his siblings including Jill and Jessa. The Duggars have already stated that the victims, including Jill and Jessa, have already forgiven Josh for the mistakes he committed when he was young.
Critics argue that the Duggars seem to be dismissing Josh's sexual scandal and sweeping the serious matter under the rug. An expert explained the possible reason behind the family's move.
"Victims of this kind of abuse carry a lot guilt and shame that they somehow have some responsibility in what happened to them," family therapist Steve Ornstein explained to Hollywood Life.
