A few weeks after Josh Duggar scandal, the future of "19 Kids and Counting" remains bleak. And now according to TMZ, the possibility of the Duggars being seen on television for another season remains even more uncertain.
According to Inquisitr, Jill and her husband Derick together with their son Israel David will be doing an international mission in July.
"God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip," Derick reportedly said, according to People. "Earlier this year God brought about an opportunity much earlier than either of us was expecting."
Though the Josh Duggar scandal wasn't mentioned by Derick, those following news about the molestation accusations may be well aware that Jill was greatly affected by the scandal as she and her sister Jessa Duggar Sewald came forward as victims of the abuse.
Being on the limelight may have given the Duggars a lot of perks, but it can also be a source of stress and pressure especially under controversies such as the Josh Duggar scandal. Did Jill Duggar plan to go on a mission with her husband and son in order to intentionally contribute to the reasons on why another season for "19 Kids and Counting" could be less attractive to TLC?
Not really, according to Derick. Jill Duggar's husband explained that the reason behind their decision to go on a mission was driven by their aspiration to propagate their beliefs.
"We have a deep love and care for all of the world and a real passion for those in the nations, as many have even seen in the early stages of our relationship, and our hope is that all peoples of the world would come to repentance and put their hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ," Derick reportedly said.
News about the Josh Duggar scandal broke in May when it was revealed that Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's eldest son allegedly molested five minors when he was a teenager, some of whom were his sisters.
