Why Putting Dolph Ziggler Into a Deep Storyline With Rusev Doesn’t Make Sense? Here's Why 'The Showoff' And Lana Deserve To Be WWE's New Power Couple!

Looks like Dolph Ziggler's recent injury on Monday Night RAW is purely storyline and he can be expected to bounce back very soon.

During this week's Monday Night RAW, the storyline centering on Dolph Ziggler and Lana, Rusev and Summer Rae took another dramatic turn. Rusev brutally attacked Ziggler and the two ladies got into it as well. "The Bulgarian Brute" revealed that his fractured foot is healed just before he took out Ziggler and injured him in kayfabe.

The WWE followed up on that episode on RAW Fallout as cameras followed "The Ravishing Russian" when she joined Ziggler in the ambulance, according to records on SportsWorldNews.

Though the WWE Universe believed Ziggler's injury was legitimate, a backstage report by CagesideSeats claims that his injury is strictly for the storyline only.

In the wake of Rusev being fully healed, the storyline may now develop into a match between him and "The Showoff" or probably a mixed tag team match involving the two WWE Divas as well.

However, another report from Inquisitr noted that putting Ziggler into a deep storyline with Rusev wouldn't make sense if he's leaving soon, citing rumors doing rounds hinting that Ziggler may leave the WWE when his contract is over.

If Ziggler is planning to leave the WWE, a deep storyline wouldn't make sense and it will be a waste of Rusev and Lana's time. That being said, if Ziggler gets the push he deserves, he and Lana will be the new power couple of WWE.

Lana ended up pairing up with Ziggler after she and Rusev showed cracks in their foundation in storyline earlier this year, eventually leading to them parting ways in the spring.

Rusev ended up pairing up with Summer Rae a few weeks back on Monday Night RAW and if the former-Intercontinental champion isn't legitimately injured, WWE fans can soon expect a payback from "The Showoff."
