A few days after news about Josh Duggar scandal first broke, "19 Kids And Counting" stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar claimed that they sent their eldest son to a treatment facility after they discovered that he molested five minors, some of which are their daughters.
It wasn't clarified what facility Josh Duggar was taken to until recently, when Daily Mail published a report about the the institution that accepted Josh Duggar amid his struggles when he was a teenager.
The report explained that the "19 Kids And Counting" family follows a religious group called the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). The leader of the group admitted that he was the one who ordered Josh Duggar to a special facility in Arkansas.
"Bill Gothard, who founded the IBLP in 1961, claims Duggar was 'cleansed' by a 'godly mentor' at the group's Little Rock Training Center in Arkansas, where he is said to have turned his life around and found 'salvation,'" Ryan Parry wrote in his article published in Daily Mail.
"And he reveals the program included a bizarre mix of carpentry, 'lust counseling' and private classes on Jesus' 'seven stresses.'"
It was in that facility that Josh Duggar purportedly reformed and changed his ways.
"Once he became a Christian, of course his conscience became even more delicate and he wanted to follow and please the Lord," Gothard said, as quoted by Extra. "When Josh came back, he was a different person."
It still remains unclear whether or not TLC will renew "19 Kids And Counting" for another season amid the negative publicity surrounding the family in the wake of the molestation scandal.
Though Josh Duggar has publicly acknowledged his "mistakes" and said he had already apologized and repented for the abuse, critics continue to bash the "19 Kids And Counting" stars amid the scandal.
