Though WWE Battleground is considered as a warm-up show for SummerSlam, it won't be surprising if it manages to impress wrestling fans on a number of fronts.

King Barrett will go one-on-one with R-Truth at WWE Battleground 2015 for Barrett's King of the Ring Crown. According to reports on Heavy, King Barrett will retain his KOTR crown and will continue to reign as the current king.

As far as the Divas division is concerned, it will be exciting to see what happens following the electrifying angle with the NXT stars of the future on Monday's RAW, moreover Stephanie McMahon's involvement will bring big thing for the angle.

No show featuring "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar can be just a transitional one.

With what looks like a defining fight between Kevin Owens and John Cena, there is much to look forward to at the WWE Battleground 2015.

Randy Orton and Sheamus will lock horns after a feud over the past two weeks. Roman Reigns is slated to take on "The New Face Of Fear" Bray Wyatt, while the The Prime Time Players will defend their WWE Tag Team Championship against The New Day.

The big question is who will emerge on top in those matches? If speculations doing rounds in the past few weeks are anything to go by, here are some clues, Inquisitr noted.

Kevin Owens Vs. John Cena

After two contests at Money in the Bank and Elimination Chamber, the scores are neatly tied up at one win apiece.

This could be the last match between Cena and Owens citing WWE's policy with three straight bouts and then a conclusion (like Cena's feud with Rusev). There are reports suggesting that Owens will win but the rivalry will not actually culminate until SummerSlam. However, the emergence of Cesaro and Rusev into the US Championship picture could have changed those plans.

Seth Rollins Vs. Brock Lesnar

In the main event, WWE heavyweight champion Seth Rollins squares off against "The Conqueror" Brock Lesnar. Unfortunately for Rollins, the match is looking increasingly less and less of a numbers game with first J&J Security being dismantled last week and now Kane suffering a broken ankle at the hands of Lesnar.

That said, this could change if Tripe H emerges and throws his weight behind the champ.

WWE Battleground 2014 was not one of WWE's best shows last year, however this card look infinitely better.
