The traumatic public attention over molestation accusations against him has allegedly left Josh Duggar depressed.
And now that the sex scandal has caused TLC to cancel "19 Kids And Counting" and may have been a factor in Jill Duggar-Dillard and husband Derick Dillard's decision to go on a mission to Central America, is Josh Duggar more dangerously depressed than ever?
According to earlier reports, Josh Duggar is allegedly having a hard time coming to terms that a mistake that he committed when he was a young teen has caused a huge impact on his family's present life.
"Josh has seen his world and his family's world crumble," a source reportedly told Star Magazine. "And he knows that it's all his fault. He can never rebound himself from this. He is hiding away leaving his loved ones fearing the worst, [that] he will do something drastic."
"The longer he stays isolated, the more depressed he gets - that has his loved ones terrified for him," the insider added. "They fear that shame is too much."
There have been rumors that Josh Duggar's family is keeping a close eye on him now that he's depressed and could be on the verge of doing something drastic out of shame and frustration.
"His world and that of his family is crumbling beneath his fingers with no light at this time shinning at the end of the tunnel to guide him out and back to the life he, his wife and children enjoyed before the media tore his little world into shreds," Examiner wrote.
"It is very sad that the shame is terrifying everyone in his family that loves him and is standing by him through thick and thin."
Meanwhile, Inquisitr reported that TLC will be airing a special about child sexual abuse this summer. The documentary will reportedly feature Jill Duggar-Dillard and Jessa Duggar-Seewald, who were among Josh Duggar's five victims.
