After finishing almost back-to-back dramas this year, After School's Uee is ready for a film role. She spoke about her memories and career plans at a press conference for the end of her latest drama "High Society."

"I haven't done a movie yet," said Uee. "I would like to be in a movie even if it was a small role."

Uee may be thinking of her "High Society" co-star Lim ji Yeon when she says this, as Lim just signed on to do "Key of Life," a film that co-stars Yoo Hae Jin and Lee Joon. "High Society" was Lim's first drama role.

Uee spoke about her plans but also spoke about some of her on-set memories while working on "High Society." All four leading actors, Sung Joon, Uee, Lim Ji Yeon and ZE:A's Park Hyung Sik so enjoyed working together that the director often had to tell them to keep it down and not laugh and talk so much on set.

She said that she made happy memories with Sung Joon, the actor who played her love interest. She denied the possibility of an off-screen romance, but said that the scene where his character proposed made her heart flutter.

" I was very close to Sung Joon like a brother, but I nearly cried when Joon Gi proposed to me," she told the Korean media outlet Sports Seoul. "It was so touching that they decided to go ahead and love each other."

His character was from a poor background. She played an heiress. He was initially after her for her money but then fell in love with her anyway. They worked it out.

Uee will next appear in the SBS show "Punch Shaolin."

"Usually I'm physically exhausted after a drama, but I want to challenge myself."

There was not much time between "High Society" and her previous drama "Fool's Love" with co-starred Choi Woo Sik and 2AM's Im Seul Ong. In that drama she played a champion swimmer who has to cope with an unwanted pregnancy.

Some may consider Uee to be an idol actress but she actually wanted to be an actress first. After many auditions and no roles, she joined the girl group Five Girls in 2007. Then she joined "After School" in 2009. Her first drama role was playing the "fake fairy" Yoo He Yi in "You're Beautiful" with co-stars Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Santasy Island's Lee Hong Ki and CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa.

Since then she has had several roles in successful k-dramas, including "Queen Seonduk," "Ojakgyo Family," "Jeon Woo Chi" and "Golden Rainbow."
