"Big Hero 7" may just be one of the highly anticipated animated movie sequels today. The latest plot speculations claimed that the next movie is going to be much darker than its predecessor.
Bandai has recently released a new line of dark painted toys from the movie, reported The Bit Bag. This caused many fans to speculate that the sequel would have a darker theme than "Big Hero 6."
Although the new toys may actually symbolize nothing, the publication insisted that Bandai was giving fans major plot hints on what to expect in the upcoming movie.
"All action figures from Baymax to Fred are painted with heavy black hues," the outlet reported.
"This theme may actually hint a dark tone for the sequel."
It has long been rumored that the sequel will focus on Tadashi and Hiro's feud. Multiple reports claim that the protagonist's brother is alive and would return as a villain in "Big Hero 7."
The publication pointed out that Bandai chose darker colors for the action figures at it symbolized an emotional and depressing time for the brothers. Tadashi and Hiro would allegedly turn against each other in the next adventure.
Meanwhile, another plot that the film producers are also considering was turning Baymax into a villain, reported Movie News Guide. It was said that Baymax will eventually team up with Tadashi and leave Hiro.
"One of the surest indications of Tadashi not being dead in 'Big Hero 6,' was Baymax, who kept indicating that Tadashi was there even after the fire that supposedly killed him," the outlet noted.
Although the official release date for "Big Hero 7" has yet to be confirmed. Stan Lee revealed that the sequel is in part of the lineup after "Guardians of Galaxy 2," which could mean that the movie could hit theatres this 2017.
