Based on a survey of 5,000 viewers, variety show star and emcee Yoo Jae Suk topped the list with 55.1 percent of the vote. The 43-year-old star who bears the nickname, The MC of the Nation, maintains immense popularity due to his roles on "Infinite Challenge" and "Running Man." He emerged from "The Crash of MCs to appear on the series, "Happy Together Friends" and "X Man."
"Assassination" star Jun Ji Hyun came in second with 25.3 percent of the vote. The renown actress experienced her breakout role with the 2001 film, "My Sassy Girl," before leading several high-profile movies including "The Thieves." In addition to her nuanced resume, international audiences recognize the star for her portrayal of Cheon Song Yi in "My Love from the Star."
Her co-star in "The Thieves" and "My Love from the Star," Kim Soo Hyun placed third on the list of Korea's top stars with 21.7 percent of votes. The article published by Newsen noted Kim as a Korean Wave star who is renown for his ability to act with humility. His notable roles include his portrayal of an aspiring pop star in "Dream High," his turn as the stoic alien Do Min Joon in "My Love from the Star," and Baek Seung Chan in "Producer."
