The new preview of "The Flash" season 2 would provide an insight into the multiverse with Jay Garrick. Though, the viewers were eagerly waiting to see the first full trailer of the show, The CW team teased them with a new promo of the hit show.

"The Flash" had made it its debut on The CW last year. Forbes.com reported that it was a key improvement over its sister series, "Arrow." Forbes said it as an extremely entertaining television experience and compared it to "a cross between the lighthearted fun of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films and a monster-of-the-week supernatural series." The report added that "some CW soapiness" had made it just perfect for engaging the masses.

Unlike the other promos for the "The Flash," this promo provided the footage of a couple of characters who have been expected to be the big players in the upcoming season, Outerplaces reported. Though, the Atom Smasher had already been introduced in the previous promos, this one provided a better introduction to "The Flash" season 2's hero Jay Garrick. It also provided a better look of the infamous DC Comics villain, Edge who would be played by former WWE star Adam Copeland.

Comingsoon.net reported that "Raising the Bar" star Teddy Sears had been cast as Jay Garrick in "The Flash" season 2. He would be introduced as a mysterious figure that arrives in the Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. labs of an impending danger.

According to Forbes, the new season would be dealing with a "Multiverse." Thus, there would be a multitude of parallel Earths that appear to be similar and yet very different. Eventually, all earth's had folded into a single Earth as in the "Crisis of Infinite Earths" comic book event. But, this time there would be only 52 earths.

In the new promo of "The Flash" season 2, Jay Garrick and The Atom Smasher seemed to have crossed over to a parallel universe of the "Multiverse."
