The latest "NCIS" season 13 spoilers suggest that a fan favorite cast member will be returning in the coming episode.

When Cote de Pablo (Ziva David) suddenly left the CBS series in season 11, the show failed to give closure to her character to the disappointment of viewers. Multiple reports, however, suggest that she could be making a comeback.

De Pablo's co-star Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo) revealed some major "NCIS" season 13 spoilers to TV Line, which included a return of a beloved cast member.

"I have come to understand that there will be, later in the year, some guest stars that will melt the avid 'NCIS' viewer's brain," he told the publication.

Fans speculated that Michael Weatherly could only be talking about Cote de Pablo's possible return.

The actress has always been vocal about how disappointed she was on how her character's story ended on the show.

"I think it was rushed," she told TV Line.

"I would have liked a little bit of closure. But I think all in all I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my 'love,' Michael [Weatherly, who plays Tony]."

De Pablo further shared that she has always enjoyed every second she spent working with Weatherly, adding that there is an undeniable spark between them.

"Any time you put Michael and I together there's going to be a spark, and there's going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful," she said.

"Because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [the characters] felt for each other."

In the interview, Cote de Pablo also hinted that she could return to the CBS series anytime soon, given that the writers did not kill off her character.

"I think the fact that they never killed the character off is very telling," she explained.

"Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored."
