Kristen Stewart Admits Breaking Up With Robert Pattinson Was Very Painful

Two years after breaking up with her Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart candidly admitted that their split is still incredibly painful.

The 25-years-old American actress Kristen Stewart may have been the cause of the breakup, but the actress certainly felt the effect. In an interview with Daily Beast, Kristen Stewart admitted that she recollects on the raw emotions of the split that happened back in July 2012.

Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson with her "Snow White And The Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, in 2012. When Rob found out about her infidelity, he broke up with her.

When asked about what it was like to film "Equals" just two years after her breakup with Robert, Kristen told the Daily Beast that it was incredibly painful.

"It was a really good time for [Nicholas Hoult and I] to make this movie," she said. "Not all of my friends have been through what I have been through, or what some people have tasted at a relatively speaking young age, and we were not expected to do anything. Everything that we did was explorative, and a meditation on what we already knew."

Even Nicholas Hoult started filming with the "Twilight" actress right before his split with Jennifer Lawrence. So, even Nicholas was in lot of pain when the production of "Equals" started.

On the positive note, Kristen Stewart feels optimistic about the future aspects of her love life. She claimed that her chemistry with Nicholas in the sci-fi romantic drama would remind people who have through heartbreak that it is possible to love again.

"If [Nicholas and I] did our jobs right [with this movie], then it would be to remind you that you can definitely get back to that, and how hard, amazing, and life-fulfilling those feelings were in the very beginning," Kristen added in her interview.

"Equals" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13.
