"Avatar 2" is a long-awaited sequel to James Cameron's 2009 epic science fiction drama "Avatar." This time around, fans would not have to wait long as James Cameron is working on three "Avatar" films simultaneously.

All three of them are expected to be released within a year. There are no official plots released so far, but there are speculations encircling around this movie project.

According to the official IMDB page of "Avatar 2," the film is rumored to be titled, "Avatar 2: Manifest Destiny." The name suggests building of a new home in the oceans of Pandora.

"Fast and Furious" star Michelle Rodriguez, who played the role of Trudy Chacon in "Avatar" will not be reprising her role in "Avatar 2: Manifest Destiny." According to The Post, James Cameron has not asked Michelle to come back for any of the "Avatar" sequels.

The 37-year-old Zoe Saldana, who recently signed "I Killed Giants," will be back as Neytiri and 37-years-old Sam Worthington will be back as Jake Sully. Stephen Lang will also reprise his role of Col. Quaritch. Vine Report said that Sigourney Weaver will be back in the sequels but she will have a different role.

As earlier reported, "Avatar 2" and the two upcoming sequels are going to use the underwater technologies to show Oceans of Pandora. Although, the story would not just be inside the Ocean. During his recent interview as reported by Wikia, producer John Landau confirmed that the major part of the film would be shot in ocean using unique technologies from WETA.

"WETA is working out underwater performance capture for underwater scenes. It's going to be like the Floating Mountains in the first movie. It's not going to be all underwater." Landau said.

John Landau also added that the oceans of Pandora will be new homes of Na'vi since their Home Tree was destroyed in the first part. "It is going to be a place we [Humans and/or Na'vi] go to, leave and come back to."
