The veteran actor of films, television and the Broadway stage, Jeffery Tambor bagged the prestigious Emmy award for the Lead Actor in Comedy Series for his inspirational role as Maura Pfefferman, a transgender, in the hit Amazon series "Transparent." It is to be noted that Tambor has won the 2015 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy Series lately.

Tambor rightly earned the honour of taking the Emmy home by battling his fellow nominees Anthony Anderson, Matt LeBlanc, Don Cheadle, William H. Macy, Louis C.K., and Will Forte.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Tambor gave a heart-warming speech and dedicated his award to the transgender society saying "Thank you for your patience, thank you for your courage, thank you for your stories, thank you for your inspiration, thank you for letting us be part of the change."
